Enchanted Tiki Pineapple Kava Whip with a Blue Lagoon

A Kava Cocktails tip of the hat to the iconic Disney Dole Whip as a Dole Whip Float.

We're going to make this in such a way to where you can either add kava kava root or not.

If you don't know what a Dole Whip is, let me tell you. A Dole whip is a pineapple soft serve that was introduced in 1986.when Dole took over sponsorship of the Enchanted Tiki Room. If you've never experienced the Enchanted Tiki Room, it is very quaint to say the least. There are mechanical birds everywhere and thunderstorms that happen on a regular basis. So real to the 7 year old in 1987 that I was convinced they were absolutely real. The tiki experience of the thatched roof, the woven walls will leave you with a strong impression that you won't soon forget.

The Original Tiki room was opened in the west coast in 1963. It was the first audio animatronics attraction. A technique which Disney invented. Recording the movements on audio animatronics tape that is a 1 inch tape with 14 tracks and up to 16 signals. The signals send impulses to the figure to move and talk. If you've never been to Disney but have been to Chuck-E-Cheese as a kid, its the same idea.

.Recipe:

For the whip

6 prepared kava coconut milk ice cubes

16oz Califa Farms Coconut Milk

1 bag frozen Dole Pineapple cubes

1 to 2 scoops vanilla coconut base ice cream

Turmeric powder (enough to color the pineapple whip as it turns brownish without it)

Juice of 1 lime

For the Lagoon:

Dole pineapple juice as needed

Half tsp Blue Spirulina

Sprinkle Angel Specialty Foods Taro Blended Creme

For The kava cubes

32g kava powder in 16oz coconut milk. Blend for 3 to 4 minutes and strain. Pour into ice cube trays and freeze.

For whip: place kava cubes, pineapples ice cream and a bit of juice in blender to get it going and blend until u have an ice cream consistency.

For lagoon:

Mix 400ml pineapple juice with 100ml coconut milk and half tsp blue spirulina and mix.

Pipe whip into a coconut shell, then pour blue lagoon around that.

Sprinkle with your taro mix like the Salt Bae

Eat with a spoon or mix together and drink like a smoothie
